The SJCOE promotes student achievement and accountability, serves San Joaquin County's most vulnerable students, and strives to create an environment in which every student, regardless of circumstances, has an opportunity for quality education.

The San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust's mission is to preserve and restore San Joaquin River lands of ecological, scenic or historic significance, to educate the public on the need for stewardship, to research issues affecting the river, and to promote educational, recreational and agricultural uses of the river bottom consistent with the protection of the river’s resources. The River Parkway Trust offers school field trips, canoe and kayak trips, low ropes course teambuilding, summer day camps, weekend programs, family events, and more.

San Jose Conservation Corps + Charter School develops the personal, professional and academic skills of young adults in Silicon Valley to prepare them for a family-sustaining career. Corpsmembers in the workforce development program gain skills in green-collar jobs while students at the Charter School receive personalized attention to earn their high school diploma. Corpsmembers complete projects in natural resource conservation, zero waste operations, tiny house construction and emergency services, contributing to a more resilient community and environment.

SMRF protects public access and preserves the San Marcos River, protecting the flow from aquifer-fed springs, improving water quality and protecting the beauty of the area with annual clean-ups.

To promote curiosity, environmental awareness, and community health through stewardship and experiences with an urban greenspace that offers equitable access and connection to the diverse habitats, communities, places, and cities thriving along the Sand Creek Regional Greenway.

The Santa Ana Zoo, through fun, adventure and learning empowers the community to save wildlife and wild spaces. A small zoo located in the heart of Orange County, the Santa Ana Zoo is an urban oasis where students and the general public can connect with nature, discover a new favorite animal and contribute to their conservation. With a history of a diverse collection of monkeys and other primates, the zoo focuses on smaller animals of Central and South America with a number of endangered species and a family farm featuring domesticated animals.
