The ENC provides transformative experiences through connection with nature. We operate our flagship nature center in Newport Beach (est. 1972), which now includes our Nature Preschool, as well as the Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary in Modjeska Canyon. Both centers serve as a hub for school field trips, scout programs, birthday parties, camps, public programs, and professional development workshops. Our flagship Nature Center and Nature Preschool feature state-of-the-art, platinum LEED certified buildings which serve as an important model for architectural sustainability in our community.

EPA works to ensure clean air, land, and water; science-based risk reduction; fair enforcement of environmental laws; integrated environmental stewardship; public access to information; cleanup of contaminated sites; and chemical safety review.

The Environmental Science Center promotes environmental stewardship and academic achievement through science-based education.

Environmental Science through Art (ESTA) aims to improve environmental health literacy by bringing state-of-the-art environmental health education aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) to schools serving Salinas Valley students. This partnership benefits from CSUMB's extensive track record of engaging Latinx students in higher learning and its leadership role in the Salinas Center for Arts and Culture.

The ESC will provide learning opportunities and resource assistance in science and environmental education that supports and strengthens classroom instruction and student achievement.

To create environmental awareness within the students of Martin County which can be carried into the home, school and community.

At Environmental Volunteers, founded in 1972 in Palo Alto, we inspire people of all ages to learn about the wonders of the natural world. We train volunteers to lead hands-on science and nature programs in schools, community organizations, and at the EcoCenter in the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve. For schools, we offer science curriculum for grades K-6 which meets State of California science education requirements and NGSS.

Environteers website and Environteers Weekly Update promote all 102 environmental entities in Santa Cruz County - including nonprofits, parks, museums, agencies, and academics. We publicize their educational activities and volunteer opportunities. Our mission is to make it easy to keep informed and in action protecting and restoring our environment.
