Conservation Society of California dba Oakland Zoo

The Zoo’s purpose is to increase consciousness of our role in threatening the global ecosystem, risking our very survival, and inspiring radical change to evolve our relationship with the environment around us. We do this by: connecting guests to extraordinary animals and the care they deserve, preK-12 education programs that engage our diverse local youth, campaigns that activate community members around specific ways to reduce their footprint, and advancing community-led field conservation initiatives to save species in our native California as well as species on three other continents. Join us taking action for wildlife - our life.
