SEI: Building Leaders for a Resilient World

SEI is an environmental nonprofit that builds leaders to drive sustainability solutions. For over 20 years, SEI has partnered with schools, communities, and businesses to develop a leadership pathway from elementary school to early career. Our flagship programs (Energize Schools, Energize Colleges, School of Environmental Leadership, Climate Corps, and Energize Careers) educate and empower students and emerging professionals to create thriving, resilient communities.

SEI works with over 65,000 K-12 students in over 250 schools per year through support including standards-based curriculum, co-instruction, and facilitating student Green Career Conferences. Through partnerships with over 30 colleges and universities every year, SEI provides faculty trainings, as well as developing over 300 internships and 40 new academic projects for green career pathways. SEI develops numerous applied learning experiences such as placing over 100 emerging professionals at organizations annually to implement climate and sustainability projects. All of this is made possible through partnerships with professionals and organizations.
