Spring Nature in Motion

Nature is in motion every day, all year long. Spring is our time for celebration! We release
the stored energy of winter and welcome emerging new life. Seeds planted grow into buds and
blossoms. We watch butterflies, ladybugs, bees and other creatures visiting our neighborhoods,
parks and gardens. We hear birds greet us with good morning songs. We listen to unseen gust
of winds as kites are lifted high above our heads. We enjoy longer days of sunshine.
To explore the sights, sounds, scents, textures and feelings of Spring, our programs explore
how Nature is in constant Motion.
We start with seeds – seeds of ideas, seeds blown in the wind, dropped by birds, eaten by
squirrels, planted firmly in the ground, sprouting to yield fruits, vegetables, flowers and trees. In
time, seeds give birth to new forests and beautiful landscapes and shade to enjoy.
“One learns that the world, though made, is yet being made. That this is the
morning of creation.”
John Muir
