The California Academy of Sciences is an aquarium, planetarium, rainforest, and natural history museum in the heart of San Franciscos Golden Gate Parkand a powerful voice for biodiversity research and exploration, environmental education, and sustainability across the globe. Our mission is to regenerate the natural world through science, learning, and collaboration.
The Academy's educational offerings include science teaching and learning resources for grades preK-12, in-person field trips, live interactive Distance Learning programs, science videos and films, lesson plans, afterschool STEM kits, and professional development opportunities for formal and informal educators.
